The BCV rate and prices on Propiedash
How prices in dollars work, and their reference equivalent in bolívares.
Property prices on Propiedash are expressed in US dollars (USD) as the reference currency, which is standard practice in the Venezuelan real estate market. Next to the dollar price we automatically show its equivalent in bolívares (Bs.), calculated with the official exchange rate published by the Banco Central de Venezuela (BCV).
We update the BCV rate every business day, taking the Central Bank’s official publication as the only reference. We do our best to always reflect the most recent official rate.
The bolívar equivalent is indicative
Keep in mind that the bolívar conversion shown on the platform is indicative: it serves as an informative reference and does not constitute an offer in bolívares. The official rate can change between the moment you view a listing and the moment of a negotiation or payment, and the final amount of any transaction is agreed directly between the parties.
For subscriptions paid in bolívares via Pago Móvil, the Bs. amount is calculated with the official BCV rate in effect on the day of payment.
